Amy Haggerty is a dynamic professional whose work ethic is one of her strongest assets. Originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Amy moved to Ottawa almost 15 years ago. She loved the City from the moment she arrived, knowing that Ottawa has the benefits of a big city, with a small city feel. With a background in Law Enforcement, Amy has a very unique perspective of Ottawa, which she loves to share with her clients. A graduate from the University of New Brunswick, she has a Bachelor of Business Administration, which included several courses in marketing and finance.

For Amy, deciding to be a Real Estate Agent was an easy decision. She has always had an interest in the real estate market and home design. She has endless energy and loves dealing with people. Amy is a natural networker and uses this skill to the benefit of her clients. During her 14-year policing career, she acquired many skills that are easily transferable to real estate. Attention to detail, determination, and the art of negotiation are just a few.Don’t be fooled by her pleasant demeanor, when representing her clients she can be one tough negotiator!

Currently residing in Stittsville, Amy and her husband, Kevin, have three children, Liam, Grace and Cate. They are an all-Canadian hockey family and can usually be found at a number of arenas each weekend! They are a very active family with their children involved in many sports and her husband a competitive runner. Amy also likes to run and has completed two half marathons and many 5 and 10 km races. Aside from running, she loves cake decorating and any home improvement or do-it-yourself project.

Amy tries hard to be active in the community and believes that being involved is a great way to have an impact. She volunteers on Parent Council and at various school events. She also does several fundraising campaigns throughout the year, the biggest being the “Stroll For Liver” for the Canadian Liver Foundation. This event occurs each June and is especially important to Amy as her mother received a life saving liver transplant in June 2012.

Amy knows that buying or selling a house can be a stressful event. When you make the important decision to buy or sell a home, Amy will make sure that the job is done right, on time and without pressure. She knows the most important aspect of her job is caring for her clients and guiding them through the real estate process.
